Sharkey is a Jack Russell Terrier with lots of news to share, and very often she has her own opinion, as you can read in The Weekly Woof, featured on this site.
Sharkey’s books, The Adventures of Sharkey the Dog, came about when I made the decision to turn a disastrous situation into positive action. When Sharkey nearly lost her life due to a massive overdose by an irresponsible pharmacist, we spent many months battling the pharmacist, grocery store chain and insurance companies to no end. The laws in this country are such that companion animals are considered mere possessions, devoid of rights, feelings or value. Changing the law was a losing battle for Sharkey and I, but we were determined to turn the situation around as best we could.
Sharkey developed quite a following on her Facebook page. People cared, and the members of her group encouraged us along the way. I made the decision that Sharkey could help her fellow pets by working to raise money to help animals in need. A large percentage of all net profits from Sharkey’s books will be donated to an organization that benefits companion animals. That organization will be featured with a page in the book and information about what they do, and how readers can find out more about them.
Sharkey’s website has many facets, including news about her upcoming books, the blogs, Sharkey’s public appearances, and information about our favorite pet friendly organizations. There will be short stories, fun and informative videos, guest bloggers and even some training tips.
Welcome to Sharkey’s world. We hope you enjoy your visit.

The Jack Russell
Show me a Doberman,
I'll cut him to size.
I'll tear him to pieces
In front of your eyes.
I'm cocksure and bossy
The King of the Patch
Bring on your Dalmations,
It won't be a match.
Don't step near my missus,
Don't push me too far,
Get right off my pavement
Take your hands off my car.
And when she's alone,
I'll sit on her knee,
She'll know she's quite safe,
Relying on me.
Don't walk by my lorry,
When I'm at a show.
When I'm guarding my ponies,
I'm lethal to know.
I'll follow a fox
To the depths of his lair,
But I like creature comforts...
Get out of my chair!
I won't walk or heel
Or sit when I'm told,
But I'm loving, protective,
Brave, loyal, and bold.
My life's full of moments,
Importance and bustle.
I know I'm the greatest...
